Church Leaders Speak Out Against Racism

Racism is a major problem facing society

Racism takes away freedom and equity

The COVID-19 pandemic along with the racism that has recently been brought to the forefront of the news and on people’s minds has caused havoc on the world. Too many people are suffering simply because of the unjust treatment they receive simply for the color of their skin.

Church leaders of all religions generally condemn racism. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have recently heard their Church leaders speak out against racism.

Another statement is from Elder Jeffrey R. Holland of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

These Church leaders and many others are speaking out about equity and the injustice of racism.

Unfortunately, there is a lot of racism in the world, and many innocent people are suffering from it. We should be thankful if we have never been harassed by the police, followed around in a store, been fearful that we would be shot, or suffered needlessly simply for the color of our skin. Many people have suffered from these types of racism at the hands of others.

We must all be understanding and try to get the horrible racism affecting too many people to end. There is too much racism in this life. More love is needed to force out the hate that exists.
