Kabir and Love

The pond has turned into stone but the swan doesn’t go anywhere,

In the memory of past love he stays while eating pebbles.

Kabir Das was an Indian mystic poet. His words are hard to translate and I could only try my best. His words are too deep for any other language than his own. Kabir is someone who is loved by people of all religions. He never claimed himself of any religion. No one knew who his parents were because he was found as an infant by a Muslim couple.

Perhaps his parents being unknown was the plan of God himself to claim Kabir as his very own. No parents to impose their religion on Kabir. All his life he detested so-called religious people and taught humanity and love. Our Kabir is just too pure to belong to any specific religion, he belongs to the creator directly.
