2. The first 5 steps in evalink talos

With the overriding aim of democratizing alarm management, evalink talos is a highly advanced alarm management platform with a clear and straightforward appearance. It was built to uncomplicate your life by assisting you in managing incoming alarms in the easiest way possible.

In this article we’ll have a look at how you can receive and process an alarm in evalink talos. Let’s take that 5 simple steps together. In doing so, we will also introduce the terms “site” and “workflow” to you in the following.

Requirements:

To receive an alarm in evalink talos, first of all, you have to register a site (from where you expect alarms to be triggered).

The term “workflow” is used to define actions that are triggered after receiving an alarm. Instructions can be stored in a workflow, which must be processed in the event of an appropriate alarm. Workflows also help to execute automated work steps.

On the alarm page evalink talos displays the new alarms. After an alarm has arrived, processing can also be started here.

Clicking on the little bell-button in the menu column on the left will open up the rubric “alarm processing” for you. Here, all steps and measures defined in the workflow are executed and commented on for you to follow along. Once all steps have been taken, the processed alarm is completed and stored in the log.

In the Event Log, the alarms which already have been processed are displayed. Here, you can also review the measures which have been taken in the course of dealing with the alarm.

And.. Done! Congratulations, you have just now successfully created your first site, workflow and processed your very first alarm. Now you are all set with the foundations of evalink talos and ready to take your command of evalink talos to a new level.
