- Maybe Victor Hugo said that; no one can actually decide who to attribute this quote to. Whoever it was, I once believed it, and I thought I would likely be immune to the rule. I now wonder if it isn’t all manufactured, and no one is immune unless we all are.

A first time voter under Kennedy would have lived through one of the biggest shifts in consciousness and values in US history, and by 1969 they were economically f*cked and emotionally exhausted. That generation is now more likely to vote for a conservative President than not. They were born to The Greatest Generation, a solid Democratic voting block, and came into adulthood through all of this:
